Took some visitors along the coastal path from Aberaeron to New Quay yesterday, Friday 5th.
A male Blackcap in the scrub on the hill out of Aberaeron had some white in the tail which made me look twice. Three pairs of Stonechats, one of which was still feeding a demanding juvenile.
Five Grey Herons in total, five Redshank, two Whimbrel. Two Fulmars along the usual cliffs, Two male Wigeon just coming out of eclipse on the sea near Llanina point. Approximately ten Chiffchaffs in total, two of which were quite vocal. Finally a Ring Ouzel - highlight of the morning obviously! - just before Cei Bach.
