Before heading for Ynyslas Harry and I noted 32 Ringed Plovers, 28 Turnstones and a Dunlin on the beach at Aberystwyth by Castle Point. Several Gannets and a Manx Shearwater were offshore.
At Ynyslas there were a couple of Sandwich Terns, 3 Sanderling, 2 Knot, 150+ Dunlin and Ringed Plovers and 102 Golden Plovers, a good count for September.
Nice to meet Brendan and his Dad. On Monday he was there and photographed 122 Knot and a Black Brant with a dark-bellied Brent Goose. Sadly the geese flew off south after a while.
