Dyfi WeBS count

RSPB staff and interns carried out the co-ordinated September WeBS count on the Dyfi at high-tide today and the highlights were six curlew sandpiper, eight greenshank and a spotted redshank on the Ynyslas and Leri sections and 154 teal, 55 wigeon, 24 little egrets, three grey plover, a green sandpiper and twenty black-tailed godwits on the RSPB Ynys-hir section. The marsh harrier was on the reserve again today (luckily not disturbing the roosting waders before we counted them!).
