Good to see winter duck returning with tufted, pochard, teal and mallard present and more this week than last. A kingfisher was a new bird for us at this site, and over 16 cormorant makes one assume good fishing!
A pair of mute swans have reared 6 signets on a nearby pool, and we read the coloured ring today : 7BAH. I wonder if this is a Tony C. bird or from (someone) somewhere else?
Reply from Tony: this swan was ringed as a cygnet 14 years ago - Llanfihangel-ar-Arth.
