Had a long walk on Pumlumon plateau yesterday. No sign of any dotterel but we did have a couple of red grouse towards the northern end, about a km from the source of the Severn.
Fairly sure they were both males. Otherwise it was meadow pipits, red kites and a few buzzard. Oh, and dipper and grey wagtail on the river/streams.
