Ynyslas Point waders

Spent a very pleasant morning at Ynyslas Point over the high tide today. 5 Curlew Sandpipers again and the smart juv. Little Stint, along with c.12 Sanderlings and 30 Golden Plover. The spring tide is now not quite so high as earlier in the week, leaving plenty of sand and saltmarsh debris exposed for the birds to continue feeding, which the stint, curlew sands and sanderling did, in contrast to the sleeping Dunlin, Golden and Ringed Plovers amongst the cobbles.  Also a single male Wheatear, and 34 Sandwich Terns - until a kite surfer came to close and flushed the latter.

Two Black-tailed Godwits and a Little Egret on Glandwr pools, and a Kingfisher sitting on a post by the Leri nearby.
