YNYSLAS

Yesterday morning's early high tide attracted almost no waders at all. The only highlight were 7 Knot which flew in but did not settle. (Glandwr raised spirits with 5 Greenshanks, 2 Black-tailed Godwits and Mike Bailey.)
Harry and I gave Ynyslas another go this morning. The greater number of Ringed Plovers and Dunlin were far from spectacular but they made it easy for us to find 2 Curlew Sandpipers and a Little Stint.
The Little Stint is in the photo. living up to its name.
A juv female Peregrine  disturbed the birds for a while and before leaving it dashed low beside us.
2 Knot, a Sanderling and a  Turnstone were also present and 10 Sandwich Terns flew in from the sea.
Later, the flat calm sea at Borth enabled us to note around 60 distant Common Scoters.
