Field Trip report.

Field trip to Broadwater

It was a very disappointing turn out of only three at Broad water this
morning. The weather was  dull and windy but we still had an enjoyable
walk. the birds seen were: cormorant, mute swan, mallard, wigeon, eider,
goosander, buzzard, curlew, dunlin, redshank, black-headed gull, herring
gull, lesser black-backed gull, meadow pipit, wren, dunnock, robin,
wheatear, stonechat, blackbird, magpie, chough, rook, carrion crow,
starling, chaffinch.

After we had left the weather cleared for a while and Dick saw more
birds - Canada goose, a flock of lapwing, more waders probably dunlin
and a very far off egret.

A very enjoyable outing.
