Redwings

Yesterday, the east coast around Scarborough was mist bound, light S.E. winds and rain. Classic conditions for grounded migrating birds. The coastal areas here were awash with birds, mainly redwings, thousands were flying through. Other species involved included robins, brambling, some blackbirds and ring ouzels, woodcock, many fielfares and starlings. Nice to hear redwings have reached beautiful Aber.
