Wood pigeons

A large very tight flock of woodpigeons c1000+ were flying southwest over Llanddewi Brefi at 14 40 yesterday 11th December the height at which they were flying suggested migration rather than a roosting flight. These birds appeared to be different to the discrete flocks feeding around the fields. Anybody else seeing large numbers like we have between Tregaron, Cockshead wood and Cwm Brefi?Maybe Silke could direct me to the sight reporting woodpigeon mortality.
