Ynyslas Brents etc.

The two pale-bellied Brent Geese were again on the shingle area downstream of the Leri at high tide this afternoon, along with a single Grey Plover and a Greenshank, and small parties of Wigeon and Dunlin - all looking very smart in the golden afternoon sunshine. Upstream of the Leri there were 9 dark-bellied Brents on the edge of the saltmarsh. 7 Red-breasted Mergansers and 2 Great-crested Grebes on the estuary.  An adventurous female Kestrel took a dive at a Little Egret, causing the latter to fly up in panic!
