Eight Swans a Flying

A casual glance out of the window yesterday afternoon brought dividends. In perfect formation a flock of large Swans with long necks flying east following the Rheidol. No doubt they were escaping Rachel and the bad weather  she was causing in Northern Ireland and Scotland.A wonderful sight! Today there must be at least 500 common gulls in the fields opposite us .They are enjoying a feeding frenzy caused by the slurry spreading yesterday. Its odd to think that something that smells so awful to most of us humans can be so beneficial to our feathered friends!
