A fine afternoon for a trip around Ynyslas was rewarded with a view of seven Shelduck out on the sand near the posts, and ten Brent Geese still out on the edge of the river. A large flock of Golden Plover flew over. There were numerous Curlew out on Ynyns Tachwedd together with some Lapwing. From the bridge by the boatyard two Little Egrets were seen feeding downstream. The highlight of the afternoon was a Kestrel busily hunting over the pastures near Glandwr.
