Lapwing flock on Cors Caron

Upwards of 200 lapwing were flying in the early morning sun south end of the bog this morning.  3 flocks briefly enjoined before flying off in different directions.
It was a bit strange standing on a frosty boardwalk listening to a skylark singing albeit briefly.  Mallard were springing up from the various pools so they are pairing up and sorting out their territories, our little pond being one of them.
