Seawatch at Aberystwyth

Being in town to shop, I decided to have a look at the sea first in case there was anything out there that I hadn't seen on my previous couple of attempts, i.e. birds.
Just odd birds passing at first: five Common Scoter and two Red-throated Divers, with another three on the sea.
Stopped for a chat with Helen H at Castle Point, during which time I counted 10 Ringed Plover, 3 Turnstones and a Purple Sandpiper (tide was well out).
After Helen left I continued with the seawatch and picked up 10 more Common Scoter, 5 more Red-throated Divers, 2 Shelduck, a female Goosander and a Kittiwake.
A quick look round the Old College and there was the Black Redstart.
As I write this, a couple of Siskins have appeared on my feeders for the first time this year. I was beginning to wonder where they had got to.
