Today's Field Trip

We had an excellent walk at Ynys-hir with Dave Anning taking us round and explaining the work in progress on the reserve. The the sky was blue, the light wonderful and the views magnificent.  

The birds detected were

Great spotted woodpecker, great tit, blue tit, pheasant, robin, chaffinch, jay, buzzard, tree creeper, carrion crow, jackdaw, longtailed tit, goldcrest, shoveler, Canada goose, teal, little egret, oyster catcher, shelduck, great blackbacked gull, red kite, mallard, goldeneye,, whimbrel, lapwing, little grebe, great crested grebe, herring gull, redshank, grey wagtail, dunnock, song thrush, siskin, meadow pipit, stock dove, reed bunting, raven, nuthatch, mute swan, greenfinch, stonechat, mistle thrush, wigeon,  dunlin, redbreasted merganser, snipe, kestrel.
