A Great Skua flew south off Aberystwyth at 8:15 this morning, taking my mind off my freezing fingertips. Very quiet otherwise at sea, with just two Red-throated Divers and a Fulmar passing during the hour that I spent on the castle.
A good count of 11 Purple Sandpipers roosting on the wall.
