Clywedog plantation, Llanfair Clydogau

Was straining eyes and ears through the morning mist in hopes of a Grasshopper Warbler this morning when to my surprise a Roe Deer bounded across the cleared ground. I've never seen a deer in the county before and I'm not sure quite how scarce they are exactly. I was thinking of forwarding the record to the wildlife trust. Is that the best thing to do? Any suggestions?
