hot spot

Whilst working today in Penrhiwllan I was surprised to hear a Sedge Warbler going full blast in a garden next to the A475 and very close to the house. The garden looked like any suburban garden to my eyes and not the kind of place you'd expect a Sedge Warbler at all. This 100m stretch of the main road has been very good to me. Last year, looking up from a fistful of mail I watched a Little Egret fly low over the roof tops. And I think it was last spring or the year before, that a house over the road photographed a Hoopoe on their lawn.
