Pete Scott (friend from Hull) and I set out this morning in search of summer visitors, calling in at Aberystwyth first to check for Purple Sandpipers. Still four on the wall.
At Ynyshir we joined forces with Bob and found everything we hoped for except for Wood W.arbler, having good views of Redstart and Pied Flycatcher. Also lots of Blackcaps and Garden Warblers around and a good passage of Swifts.
Up Foel Fawr after lunch, where we got Tree Pipit and a pair of Whinchats.
