This morning I was wondering if there were still any waders passing through and after a brief stop at Aberystwyth (3 Turnstones on College rocks) I continued to Ynyslas for the high tide.
On the estuary side I managed to find 10 Dunlin, a Ringed Plover, a late Whimbrel and another Turnstone.
A walk to the point produced only a single Ringed Plover but on the way back I noticed a small pale looking wader with three Dunlin and on scoping it, realised that it was a Kentish Plover.
After moving close enough to get some photos, it was on a little sandbank near where the cars park near the entrance,
I went to the visitor centre and told them, then went back to have another look at the bird.
Unfortunately, there was no sign of it and the tide was ebbing rapidly. Apologies for not letting anyone else know at the time, but I didn't have my phone with me.
