A Cuckoo, presumably a young bird, see flying over the
tennis courts on Monday 20 July (put me totally off my serve) towards town and
then about ten minutes later, returned and headed up the valley. Put me off a
crucial volley this time.
A young Kestrel has taken in the last ten days to perching
at the top of an old oak tree that we regrettably had to have brought down in
height because of a massive hole at the base (within falling distance of the
house). I keep flushing it as does a female Sparrowhawk which does not like its
presence at all.
