For several minutes just after 9am this morning a couple of Peregrines circled quite low over the harbour and South Marine Terrance. One was a male and the other an extremely noisy young female and it was her calls that drew my attention.
(I had exactly the same sighting on the north Wales coast last weekend.)
Later, as the tide fell exposing some of College Rocks I noticed 10 Turnstones there and (a mere) 70 Mediterranean Gulls. I walked a few yards to my car to get my scope so I could have a go at some of the colour-rings and as I returned they all flew off!
