There was a raft of c400 birds in front of the Turn Car Park at about 10:00 and others were heading north at the rate of approx. 600 per minute. I stood there for about 20 minutes and watched as the birds streamed past.
Looking north, just off the Leri estuary there was a feeding frenzy. Manxies, (and Gannets and some gulls and terns) were packed into a tight mass containing thousands and thousands of individuals.
And the passage of birds flying in to join them went on and on and on.
