Aberleri passerine flock

Last week Chris B told me about the large numbers of Stonechats that he had been watching in the rape field near Aberleri boatyard.

This afternoon he was back there again and there are still  large numbers of birds feeding in the same area, where he had counts of 52 Stonechats, at least 100 Meadow Pipits, and a few Robins, Blue Tits, Reed Bunting, etc. 

He also found two Whinchats: almost an influx when added to the ones found  yesterday by Ian at Llanrhystud and myself at Tanybwlch.

Offshore, a few Sandwich Terns and Gannets and about 100 Manx Shearwaters.
