ABERYSTWYTH and YNYSLAS

This morning my group and I had a nice view of a Kingfisher in Aberystwyth harbour, possibly the same one seen at lunchtime by John Woodruff by Trefechan Bridge. It struggled somewhat with quite a sizeable fish:
We then moved on to Ynyslas and together with Bob viewed the waders at the high tide roost. Numbers were not especially high but there was a good variety including 3 Knot. As soon as Bob left a female Peregrine zoomed about and put up all the birds.
From the track by the boatyard there were still an amazing number of Stonechats and some Meadow Pipits gorging on green caterpillers taken from the adjacent crop:
