Castle Point, Aberystwyth

A short visit to the prom this morning on my way to the dentist produced a surprise wader on the rocks in the form of a Snipe.
Back to the point later, at high tide.  Offshore a few Gannets and at least 140 Kittiwakes. Small parties of distant auks heading north whereas 23 Wigeon and 15 Common Scoter went south, as did a much closer Red Admiral.
Just before I left, 32 Turnstones flew onto the beach near the point.

P.S.
I am having problems with my e-mail again, so apologies to anyone who has sent me anything and thinks that I am ignoring them.
I will let you know on the blog when it is fixed.
