Arrived at the point on a rising tide, just in time to focus on a Kingfisher before it flew off, unlike a noisy Redshank which stayed for the duration.
The only other waders were five Ringed Plover and seven Turnstones.
The local Mute Swan family, complete with adopted Canada Goose, were well offshore, at least 400 yards off the point.
John turned up and we watched them make their way slowly back to the harbour.
Gannets still around in good numbers: I counted at least 60, almost all going north. Otherwise, just a Red-throated Diver and a few auks passing.
At least five distant dolphins were very active, with much thrashing about.
