Swallow, Kingfisher and Chiffchaffs
A Kingfisher on the river Dulas near Llangybi this afternoon was the first I've ever seen on this tributary of the Teifi. Like Bob, I wondered whether the single Swallow flying over the road near Cross Inn today will be my last of the year - my first for a week now. By contrast, I've heard Chiffchaffs in song in various locations several times during the past week - not something I usually associate with early October! Presumably the warm sunshine of recent days has set them off?
