Borth and Ynyslas

A look at the sea at Borth produced only about 30 Common Scoter and a Great Crested Grebe, but it was difficult to see anything as there was a high swell running.
On the rising tide at Ynyslas a few Curlews and Oystercatchers and a couple of hundred Wigeon.  Working my way through a tightly packed group of waders I eventually got 55 Dunlin, two Grey Plover, a Knot and a Turnstone, plus six Redshank up towards the boatyard.
At the point, just three more Grey Plover.
On the fields at high tide, 95 Curlews, 70 Lapwing, 15 Golden Plover, 30 Dunlin (probably part of the earlier flock) a Redshank and two Little Egrets, and along the tideline ca 60 Linnets and a few Skylarks and Reed Buntings.
Nothing special among that lot, but it was good to get out birding, especially as I now sit here watching the rain beat down incessantly.
