Browsing in Ystwyth Books in Aberystwyth this afternoon I noticed a copy of the 1966 publication The Birds of Cardiganshire by Ingram, Morrey Salmon and Condry. Price £2 and very interesting from an historical point of view. For instance, did you know that the last breeding record of Cirl Bunting in the county was a nest found in Aberystwyth "between the chemistry block and the station during the 1939-45 war"? so around Plas Crug then.
They also have a copy of Birds of Ceredigion by Roderick and Davis for £15. Probably most of our regular local readers already have their own copy, but it would make a nice present.
