NEWS Non estuarine waterbird survey

Thought I'd get my two little sections (at Llanrhystud and Llanon) over and done with this afternoon. Can't say it was heaving with waders. My 3 Oystercatchers did include the leucistic bird however. Also at Llanon was a Merlin. In the fields at Llanrhystud there were lots of gulls, maybe 800 Black-headed and a hundred Common, plus a Dark-Bellied Brent Goose with them too. En route; Peregrine at Cross Inn, 40 Kites above Trefilan and 130 Lapwings at Ty Gwyn Pools.
