YstradAeron bird walk

A cold wind greeted the assembled group on Pont Einon starting the walk led by Silke but at least there was sunshine!
The walk was new ground for many (even including Red Liford, who knows almost every inch of N Ceredigion) and led through some very nice habitat along a permissive path and then up the lane overlooking the Teifi and its marshy flood plain.
There were splendid views of a large flock of Lapwing wheeling about against a blue sky, Redwings and Fieldfares on the wet paddocks and a close passing male Hen Harrier.  Buzzard, Kite and Sparrowhawk also looked good in the sun.  The river produced Goosanders, males resplendent now, with Mallard,Teal and the large wigeon flock seen in the distance over Maes llyn.
