No sign of the shrike this morning, but Phil Dennis was heading that way when our paths crossed. Later I met Viv Evans with another man whose name I didn't get, and they told me they had heard a Green Woodpecker shortly before.
At least two Cuckoos around: I watched this one being chased by pipits and then perched. My other
highlight was a Goshawk.
Later, at a windy Llanrhystud, seven Whimbrel, a White Wagtail, two Wheatears and the odd sight of a Swallow, House Martin and Sand Martin flying along the beach together.
