In addition to the 40+ Whimbrel at nearby Ynys Tachwedd there were 5 on the meadow between the rail bridge and Glandwr. A Cetti's Warbler was very vocal beyond the Glandwr pools.
There was a steady stream of Swallows and Sand Martins heading north plus many Swifts flying low. There were several Sedge Warblers proclaiming their territories, like this one:
