Ynyslas to Glandwr

At high tide this morning there were 185 Dunlin, 55 Ringed Plover and nine Sanderling at the point, and on the estuary another 55 Dunlin and 30 Ringed Plover, plus four Whimbrel and a Grey Plover in almost full summer plumage.
The mixed flock of Dunlin/RP still on Ynys Tachwedd fields; I counted 95 but more hidden from view, and also 32 Whimbrel.
A Cuckoo was calling as I parked up to walk to Glandwr and I later saw it perched on a fence post.
Another 16 Whimbrel in the fields here and on the main pool was a Black-tailed Godwit and a Greylag with the Canadas.
The Cetti's Warbler had moved closer and was singing from the first bushes past the end of the big pool.
