I saw the first Bottle-nosed Dolphin as I was driving along South Road towards the prom this morning, one of at least three which remained in the South Bay area for the duration.
A Sandwich Tern lingered for a while before heading north, just before Helen turned up.
We then spent a very pleasant hour chatting and enjoying a few close Gannets and a Fulmar. Two Turnstones flew onto the rocks and offshore there were a few hundred Manx Shearwaters in several rafts on the flat calm sea; hardly visible at times through the haze.
