Ynyslas high tide in the rain

Great to see Harry Pepper and Chris Bird today, two proper gentlemen of the birding world. 2 Curlew Sandpipers on the receding tide, 3 Little Tern feeding in the estuary and landing occasionally, 2 Whimbrel, 2 Swift, Wheatear, 15 Sanderling, 6 Turnstone, 250+ Ringed plover and 650+ Dunlin. A drake Common Scoter flew out of the estuary too. Very enjoyable few hours
Curlew Sandpiper on the falling tide. One of two.
Three Little Tern kept us entertained all morning.
Some stunning summer Knot amongst a flock of 48
Some Sandwich Terns were ringed. Unfortunately not even super ring reader Chris Bird could clinch the combos.
Harry Pepper - hard core birding in the rain.
