Ynyslas in the rain (again)

I arrived just after Red and we teamed up for a damp session near the tern posts.  Pick of the waders were three Curlew Sandpipers and two Whimbrel.
Luckily the weather was clearing and Red went off to the point, not to be seen again.  Georgina then turned up and between us we found a Sanderling and two of the Curlew Sands among fairly low numbers of Dunlin and Ringed Plover.
A Common Tern joined 15 Sandwich Terns on the posts.
A few Swallows had been moving down the estuary, but then they began to arrive in large numbers.  At one point I counted ca200 over the saltmarsh and up the estuary.  The main passage didn't last long, during which my estimate was around 600 Swallows, with a few House Martins and even fewer Sand Martins.
