Ynyslas and Glandwr

Yesterday evening at Ynyslas there were the most birds on the Dyfi I had ever seen. Oystercatchers were in the thousands, ducks (mainly Pintail I would say) were probably around 700-800, 300-400 Dunlin and Ringed Plover (at the point and by the Leri), 15 Grey Plover, 2 Ruff, 5 or so Bar-tailed Godwits, a Juvenile Peregrine, 4 Little Stints and a Curlew Sandpiper as well as thousands of gulls on a mud bar on the estuary, managed to pick out a Med Gull as well which I hadn't seen at Ynyslas before.

This morning things were quieter, 30 or so Ringed Plover and Dunlin as well as a single Golden Plover. Still large numbers of ducks around, but most of them were some way down the estuary. I got close views of one of the Rose-coloured Starling's at 8:15am at the north end of the golf course. Also had a count of 24 Black-tailed Godwits and 2 Greenshank at Glandwr, as well a male Sparrowhawk and a Kingfisher on the Leri.
