More Swallows and other migrants

Interesting to see Ian's posting below.  Paul Bennett and I spent over two hours at Ynyslas this morning looking for Rose-coloured Starlings without success, but there was a good passage of Swallows heading south.  I estimated a minimum of 80.  Also, driving home I saw small parties at Llandre and Llanilar.
Other highlights were a Merlin near the boatyard, eight Golden Plover, at least four Wheatears and a Manx Shearwater flying north.
