ABERAERON'S MANDARIN DUCK

Last summer it looked like a female but it later became apparent that it was a male in eclipse plumage. It was also seen with a large plastic ring.
This afternoon we could not resist a walk upstream from the harbour and there it was, looking quite splendid and with no rings. A Dipper was nearby.
