Castle Point

High thin cloud and a flat calm sea made for good viewing conditions this morning, when John joined me for an hour or so.
A tiny distant gull, could only have been Little Gull, with its dainty flight and shortish, broad wings which were dark underneath.
Apart from a light passage of 35 Gannets and 15 Common Scoter, there were two Red-throated Divers on the sea.
A typical mix of waders on the rocks; 29 Ringed Plover, four Turnstones and a Redshank, plus a passing Curlew.
