Thank goodness we found John & Harry today-we barely had enough rations left to survive, but they saw us through! We did see the Shrike...sort of...although it was on a rather distant planet.
Well, we struggled back to civilisation and went to see the Cletwr-now I know what HIGH tide means: the sea was up past the bridge, so we retired to the cafe for lunch and returned to find a Grey Wag having a bathe on the ebbing tide. On to Ynyslas and got stuck in mud for 3o mins-thanks to the lovely couple who helped us out!
Tan y bwlch next : Wheatears gone , but 2 Goosanders looking very plump after all that free whitebait. Finally a Rock pip trying to unscrew its head. All in a day's birding; please Chris try to find something that doesn't require a helicopter trip next.
