Borth - Ynyslas - Glandwr

What a start to the day.  I was mooching around the castle when three Whooper Swans came over, heading south over the town,
To Borth, where I was joined by John and Jill.  Still masses of gulls and good numbers of auks around, mostly Razorbills, but only one distant Gannet. Combined counts from Borth and Ynyslas turn of 22 Red-throated Divers and three Great Crested Grebes.
We chose Glandwr next.  On the Leri were two Goosanders, 10 Black-tailed Godwits, four Ringed Plovers and a Kingfisher.  Glandwr pool had another four Blackwits and two Pintail.  A Water Rail called and a ringtail Hen Harrier showed a couple of times over the bog.
We had met Elaine and Ian on the way and they told us of two Wheatears at the end of the boatyard track by the Leri
Worth a try,  but had to be satisfied with five Grey Plover, two Dunlin and a Redshank on the Leri bank.
