Early high tide at Borth yesterday
morning. Very good from the small pull-in next to the golf course (just
north of Borth itself). Three or four red-throated divers close in (including
what appeared to be a juvenile bird), one great crested grebe, razorbill and
guillemot close in on the sea, as well as numerous groups of 20 or so flying
further out. A small party (5) of common scoter further out. Single grey seal
and bottle-nosed dolphin. Very quick look at Ynyslas revealed two whooper swan
in the salt marsh east side of the Leri. Looking very wary (and massive
compared to nearby egrets).
