Castle Point

Plenty of seabirds were moving north off Aberystwyth this morning in a cold northerly wind, including 115 Gannets during a 30 minute count.  Lots of gulls, though many too distant for positive i.d.  The majority of those within range were Kittiwakes, with quite a few Common Gulls.
After failing to find one for over a week, I was pleased to see two Purple Sandpipers in the high tide roost on the wall.
