Clettwr

A very pleasant walk down the Clettwr and it was nice to see Edward there on his way back; most of the birds following were probably seen by him first too. Three water pipits were feeding along the Clettwr and a kingfisher was on the railway bridge. On the Dyfi there were two whooper swans, 33 grey plover, 9 bar-tailed godwit and a few knot. A female scaup was fishing with 5 mergansers and a peregrine flew in and caused havoc but did put up a spotted redshank and a greenshank. On Fields east of the Clettwr there were 8 Greenland white-fronted geese, a ringtail hen harrier, an un-tagged juvenile marsh harrier and a whimbrel (the latter possibly the one that over-wintered in 2015/16).
