Mostly wildfowl and waders

An  interesting selection of wildfowl heading north off Aberystwyth this morning: three Wigeon, four Shelduck, four Teal, 10 Common Scoter and two male Tufted Ducks.
Also passing were at least 25 Gannets and 15 Red-throated Divers, with another eight R-t Divers and 18 Wigeon on the sea.
Not much at Llanrhystud and Llanon, but at Llansantffraed ca120 Wigeon, 18 Teal and a Red-throated Diver on the sea. Two divers and a Shelduck went north.
A good variety of waders, despite the tide being well out. Final totals were ca55 Curlews, four Grey Plover, 12 Turnstones, 12 Ringed Plover, four Dunlin and 24 Golden Plover.
More unexpected was a party of three Snipe which flew in and landed on the beach right in front of me.
