Shrikeless

This morning I went looking for the bird seen near Cnwc, just to the north of Cross Inn Forest, but without luck. I tried viewing from within the forest looking north but it seemed too overgrown, so I drove round and parked near the entrance to Cnwc and walked up the track a way. I also tried entering via the track near Curlews Haunt. I was wondering what the best way to access this area is exactly? I'd be grateful for any info. Heaps of fantastic habitat all around. Rather than trying for the other Shrike in the more regular spot I thought I'd explore around the bottling plant which also has quite extensive patches of clear fell. But again, no luck. Birds that I did see included; Peregrine, Sparrowhawk and a couple of Crossbills.
